wt:  "well, i did hear of it in jack and the beanstalk, but i don't know what it is..."

ar:  "it's a little bluegrass and country and rock all mixed up together and it sounds really good."

SCIENCE...

ar (quoting sir isaac newton while coloring science worksheet) :  "gravity explains the motions of the planets but it cannot explain who set the planets in motion.  God governs all things and knows all that is or can be done."

wt: (looking up suddenly from his own worksheet) :  "so He would know if i can sprout wings and fly??!!"

GEOGRAPHY...

wt:  "hey momma, can we go through washington, d.c. to get home?"

db: "hmmm, probably not.  we kind of need to go through towns that are on our way."

wt:  "well washington d.c. COULD be on our way!"

ar:  "yes, wil, but we don't need to go through INDONESIA to get home."

LOVE...

wt:  "hey momma, one of my classmates has a CRUSH on me."
(pretends to gag in disgust)

db:  "oh really.  do you know what a crush is?"

wt:  "yes m'am, you know... it's like when they reeeeeally like you."

db:  "how do you know she has a crush on you?"

wt:  (wide-eyed)  "she TOLD me so!"

db:  "and what did you say?"

wt:  "well, she told me she has a crush on me but told me not to tell anybody and i said 'why would i?  i'm not really likin' that' and that's all.  that's how i know."
